There are golden possibilities to discover
in the beauty that surrounds me.
The turquoise sky spreads over me
like an umbrella found
in an incense-filled shop
in the narrow streets of Chinatown.
There are golden possibilities in discovering
the plentitude of blossoms
along a country lane
that shout "See me! Touch me!
Love me! Inhale my essence!"
There are golden possibilities in the discovery
that man can escape his perpetual delusion
that the earth and all it holds
are his to control.
